208 ends, 6 yards long
The only thing wrong with this warp is the cross, which was accidentally crossed in pairs. It shouldn't cause any issues, just know that each cross has 2 threads in it instead of 1.
- 8/2 Ringspun Cotton Warp, "X" marks the cross
- Suggested weaving sett: 20-24 epi recommended, though many sett at 29-30 for towels
This is some heavenly soft and lightweight 2-ply evenspun cotton yarn. A bit different than my normal Tencel™ yarn, it has a matte finish and is very absorbent, which makes it great for weaving towels. But it is also super soft and comfortable for wearing! Finished pieces are machine washable, though take care with fringe (I would recommend finishing the fringe with braid or twist for stability or hemming).
These warps are bound and tied in preparation for dyeing, but they still need to be scoured. For best results, scour in hot water with soda ash (washing soda) and a couple drops of Synthrapol/neutral dish soap and rinse well before dyeing.
